About Me

I understand your coaching journey, pursuing avenues to learn as much as possible through courses, conventions, workshops and webinars. From enrollment through to final assignment, each stage takes time away from your family and friends. You are eager to learn as much as possible in the shortest time, so that you can improve the competitive performance of your team. You want to learn cutting edge information, impart easily among your team then watch them come out victorious against the opponent.

I have traveled down that road absorbing training sessions, asking questions, following online resources. Like you trying to learn as much as possible in the shortest time. Getting my team to become competitive occured when I started to learn to use my eyes and ears, and less my mouth. Players’ performance improved and this led to team performance. Since then I have coaching and training has become a lot easier. Instead of commanding, directing and controlling; planning, observing and guiding are the pillars of training.

I’m involved with youth player and team development in numerous roles. I have served as a coach at the varsity, JV, travel, Olympic Development Program level. Soccer coordinator for school programs, along with technical director for recreation programs, camps and clinics. I have operated a futsal league and tournament, along with futsal training.

Effective coaching does not occur overnight. From studying, research plus trial and error I’ve discovered a way to improve the development of your players and team. I have trained players and coaches for over 15 years from recreation to Olympic Development Program. In the classroom or on the field I’ve shared ideas for players’ and team development. My goal is to help you train, coach and manage your team by turning challenges into opportunities.

I will be sharing a weekly blog how to solve challenges in youth coaching. Follow me here or subscribe to my email list.

Biography

I really, really love soccer. Coaching it. Playing it. Watching it. And teaching it! I definitely have the cred. I bring even more to the game… wisdom, accessibility and positive attitude. I’m always coming up with engaging ways to turn players’ “I can’ts” into “I cans”! To turn coach’s challenges into opportunities.
